Williamstown House, Kells, 1670 -1972

Liam McNiffe

Venue: Courthouse – Meath County Council Stage

The history of Williamstown House is a microcosm of the history of Ireland, from Cromwellian times to the late twentieth century. Liam Mc Niffe traces the fortunes of the various families who owned the House, Williams, Garnett and Mc Cormick. It is a chillingly cautionary tale for owners of 'Big Houses'.
