Sinead Gleeson

Significant sums of money have been wagered on how long it would take Sinead Gleeson to make the logical leap into fiction. Well now she has jumped with her debut effort Hagstone, one of the most anticipated Irish debut novels for years. Celebrated as a critic, an essayist (Constellations: Reflections from Life, won Non-Fiction Book of the Year at 2019 Irish Book Awards) and an anthologist (The Long Gaze Back: An Anthology of Irish Women Writers,The Glass Shore: Short Stories by Women Writers from the North of Ireland and The Art of Glimpse: 100 Irish Short Stories) Sinead can now add ‘novelist’ to her extensive and illustrious CV. Sinead will be in conversation with Edel Coffey.
