Eight months later he was leading fifty-five other Scottish National Party MPs in the House of Commons after a stunning 2015 general election victory which saw the political map of Scotland go ‘yellow’. He reflects on both those events in his book The Dream Shall Never Die: 100 Days that Changed Scotland Forever, a diary of the referendum campaign, updated to include the triumph of ‘The 56’ in the UK General Election of 2015.
