On October 7 1922, three young men, Eamon Hughes, Brendan Holohan and Joe Rogers were arrested in Drumcondra by the National Army, as they were found to be putting up anti-Treaty propaganda posters in the area. The following morning their lifeless bodies were found at the Red Cow, Clondalkin.
