The former Sinn Fein publicity guru and editor of Republican News Danny Morrison is now better known as a novelist, short story writer, memoirist and playwright. Since the publication of his debut novel, West Belfast, in 1989 his output has been prodigious. The novel was reworked for its twenty-fifth anniversary and reissued in 2015. He is author of four novels and a play (The Wrong Man, 2005) and his short fiction has been broadcast on RTÉ and the BBC. He is currently working on a fifth novel, provisionally entitled Band on the Run, and a play, The Mental.
